Qantas has launched a promotion offering double points or double Status Credits to its Frequent Flyer members. According to a report from Passageiro de Primeira, eligible new flight bookings must be made by 11:59 PM AEST on September 2, 2026, for travel occurring between September 3, 2026, and August 14, 2027.

Members must register for the campaign and book their tickets within the promotional window. The offer applies to both domestic Australian and international flights operated by Qantas with a QF flight number. It also includes QF-coded flights operated by several partner airlines.

How to participate

To take part, a Qantas Frequent Flyer member must first register via the Qantas app or the official campaign page. They must then make a new booking by the deadline, ensuring their Frequent Flyer number is attached. The actual travel must occur within the specified date range. Members can change their chosen reward, either double points or double Status Credits, until the promotion ends. The last registered choice will apply to all eligible flights booked during the campaign.

Eligible flights and partners

The promotion covers flights booked between August 26 and September 2, 2026. It includes Qantas-operated flights and QF-coded flights operated by specific partner carriers.

The offer does not apply to QF-coded flights operated by other partners like Jetstar, Emirates, or American Airlines. Some fare types may also be excluded. There is no limit on the number of eligible new bookings a member can make.

Important details and conditions

Every traveler on a booking must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer member and provide their membership number. Each passenger must also register for the campaign individually, though people on the same booking can select different rewards.

The additional points or Status Credits will be deposited within eight weeks after travel. These bonus credits count toward Lifetime Status. Using a Qantas Gift Voucher to pay for a new, eligible booking is permitted. Simply adding a new segment to a reservation created before August 26, 2026, does not qualify for the bonus; a completely new booking made during the campaign period is required.

The source notes that choosing double Status Credits could be particularly useful for members trying to reach Silver status. Currently, only Qantas Frequent Flyer members with Silver status or higher can redeem points for Emirates First Class award seats, subject to availability and standard rules. The promotion also extends to hotel and package bookings, which can earn double points if reserved by September 2, 2026.
