Editorial Policy
The editorial policy of theroadatlas defines what we publish and how we work. Our content covers the practical realities of travel: the place, and what it actually costs and takes to get there. We will not publish betting content, invented quotes, or unverified claims about a person's private life. We do not provide health, legal, or financial instruction; our practical guides are for informational purposes only and readers must consult qualified professionals for personal advice.
We maintain a clear separation between reporting and reference material. News sections contain time-sensitive articles on developments affecting travel. All other sections, such as Destinos or Planificar, consist of verified reference material. This includes our core reference pages for countries, cities, and airlines, which are built from established facts and updated as conditions change.
When a claim cannot be independently verified by our editorial process, it is not published. We rely on official sources, reputable data providers, and direct verification. We do not present speculation as fact. For images, we use real photographs and always credit the source where a credit exists. We will never publish a software-generated image of a real person's face.
All visual and written content is selected solely for its utility in helping readers understand the practicalities and costs of travel. There is no commercial or promotional influence on our editorial decisions. Theroadatlas is funded by its readers, not by advertising or sponsored content.
Readers with questions, corrections, or suggestions regarding our editorial content or policy are welcome to contact our editorial team via the contact form provided on the website. We review all correspondence and make corrections to published material where necessary.
