JetBlue's BlueFirst domestic first class
JetBlue has detailed its new BlueFirst domestic first class, set to go on sale this fall and launch by year's end.

JetBlue has detailed the features of BlueFirst, its new domestic first class product. The service will go on sale this fall and begin implementation by the end of this year, targeting travelers seeking more space on aircraft without the Mint cabin.
According to the airline, the seats will be in a 2-2 configuration. They will offer five inches of recline and up to seven inches of additional legroom compared to seats in the Main cabin. The seats use T&N Flex foam from manufacturer Tuft & Needle, designed to provide support and pressure relief.
Joanna Geraghty, the airline's CEO, said that customers told them loud and clear that comfort is what matters most, so that's where they started. She added that they worked with Tuft & Needle to create an extra level of comfort to make BlueFirst feel different from the moment a passenger sits down.
In-flight entertainment and connectivity
Each passenger will have a 13.3-inch touchscreen equipped with Bluetooth connectivity for pairing personal wireless headphones. The system will integrate the Blueprint by JetBlue platform, allowing passengers to manage food orders from the same interface. Seats will also include USB-A, USB-C, and 110V AC power ports. JetBlue's free Fly-Fi internet service will continue to operate.
A key innovation is the "Mixologist Mode." This interactive screen function lets travelers create custom cocktails by selecting a spirit, mixer, and flavorings, sending the order directly to the cabin crew. Geraghty noted that traditional first class food and drink can feel stuck in the past, and said the airline is making the experience more personal, modern, and fun.
Food and beverage service
For routes over 899 miles, JetBlue will introduce FirstFare. This is a menu served in bento-style boxes containing a main dish, a side, and a dessert. Options will vary and include dishes like sweet or savory crepes, and sesame noodles with meat or tofu. During the flight, passengers will have access to snacks from brands like Sockerbit, Tosi, and Cape Cod Chips.
The beverage offering will include wines selected by Parcelle, specialty coffees from Cometeer and Joe Coffee, and teas from Smith Teamaker, served in Fable glassware. On overnight flights, the company will provide blankets and rest kits.
Travel benefits and fares
BlueFirst passengers will board in Group 1 and have dedicated overhead bin space. They also receive priority check-in and expedited security screening at over 30 airports. The BlueFirst and BlueFirst Flex fares include two free checked bags, priority baggage delivery, and no change or cancellation fees.
The launch of BlueFirst complements the opening of the BlueHouse lounge in Boston. It expands the airline's high-value service offerings across its entire commercial network alongside the Mint cabin.
