The new Argentine regional airline Joy Airline opened ticket sales on its official website this Tuesday. The first scheduled service is for Wednesday, September 30, 2026, according to the company's announcement.
The commercial start follows months of preparation, social media promotion, and waiting for authorizations. Joy Airline is still completing the final stages of its Air Operator Certificate process with Argentina's National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC). The effective start of flights remains subject to that final certification.
Initial Route Network
The initial network is centered on Jujuy, which will serve as the airline's operational base and overnight hub for its aircraft. It will offer 12 weekly frequencies on the Jujuy to Buenos Aires Aeroparque route and 7 weekly frequencies on the Jujuy to Córdoba route.
The schedule is designed to allow same-day round trips for corporate and tourist traffic. It features early morning departures and late evening returns from Jujuy's Gobernador Horacio Guzmán International Airport.

The airline had previously indicated the Aeroparque route would reach 12 weekly flights, but for now only one daily flight is scheduled. Fares are dynamic and may change based on date, demand, and availability.
Service Model and Baggage Policy
Joy Airline had previously indicated it would not compete as a low-cost carrier. Instead, it aims for a regional positioning with more space, more frequencies, and a differentiated service. The company has expressed an intention to offer cheaper last-minute purchases compared to peak corporate fares.
The published baggage policy for the initial stage includes one checked bag of up to 20 kg. The maximum per piece is 32 kg and 158 linear centimeters. Additional charges apply: 65,000 Argentine pesos for an extra bag, 50,000 pesos for excess weight, 75,000 pesos for special baggage, and 69,000 pesos for a pet in the cabin.
Fleet and Aircraft
Joy Airline will debut with a 50-seat Bombardier CRJ-200LR aircraft in a 2-2 configuration with no middle seat. The first aircraft, registered LV-JOI, is a former Delta Air Lines plane that arrived at Ezeiza airport in July and later received the new livery. The company expects to incorporate a second CRJ during September.
