Emirates will begin operating a retrofitted Airbus A380 on its Dubai to Paris route from October 25, 2026. The aircraft introduces the airline's Premium Economy cabin to this key route for the first time.

The upgraded plane will be used daily on flights EK071 and EK072, which connect Dubai International Airport (DXB) with Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). Paris becomes the third destination in France to receive Emirates' Premium Economy product, which is already available on flights to Lyon and Nice.

The new Premium Economy cabin

The Premium Economy cabin on the A380 is located at the front of the main deck. It features 56 seats arranged in a 2-4-2 configuration. The cream leather seats offer more space and comfort.

Key features include a reclining function, a padded leg rest, and a headrest adjustable to six positions. Each seat has a wooden tray table integrated into the armrest.

Meals in this cabin are prepared by Emirates chefs and draw on regional inspiration. The beverage selection includes wines such as the La Parde de Haut-Bailly 2014 from Bordeaux and the Chablis Premier Cru Jean-Marc Brocard 2024 from Burgundy. The cabin also offers an exclusive drink: the Chandon Vintage Brut 2021.

Upgrades across all cabins

The retrofit involves a complete update of the aircraft's interior, not only the addition of Premium Economy. First Class, Business Class, and Economy cabins have all received improvements.

The overall color palette has been refreshed with shades of cream, bronze, and sky-blue. Lighter wood finishes have been installed throughout.

Signature A380 amenities like the Onboard Lounge and the Shower Spa remain but have received visual updates. The report states the aircraft maintains these popular features.

Booking and policies

Flights to Paris featuring the new Premium Economy cabin are already available for booking on the Emirates website. The airline highlights its flexible booking policies for these services.

Emirates also offers comprehensive travel insurance to passengers on these flights. The carrier is promoting the new cabin as part of its expanded premium offering on one of its busiest European routes.

The deployment on the Dubai-Paris route represents a significant expansion of the Premium Economy product within the Emirates network. It provides a new intermediate option for travelers on this highly competitive corridor.
