Earning Miles with Partner Programs
The Flying Blue program has three financial institution partners in Brazil: Livelo, Esfera, and the Membership Rewards program from American Express cards issued by Santander. These partnerships allow for the transfer of points to Flying Blue from credit card purchases.
At Livelo, points can be transferred in two ways. The first method is available to any program member, transferring points at a 3.5:1 ratio. This option reportedly allows for the purchase of extra points with an average 50% discount, with installment payments over up to 12 interest-free months. The second method is for holders of the recently launched Bradesco American Express The Centurion Card, who can transfer all organically accumulated points at a 1:1 ratio; buying points is not possible with this card.
At Esfera, points are transferred at a 3.5:1 ratio for any program member, while Club subscribers can transfer at a 3:1 ratio. This option also allows for purchasing extra points with an average 50% discount and installment plans. For the Santander Membership Rewards program, transfers to Flying Blue happen immediately at a 1:1 conversion rate, with a minimum transfer of 30,000 points; point purchases are not possible.
The promotional award tickets must be issued by September 30.
