LATAM adds flights, new destinations for Brazil summer
LATAM will increase domestic frequencies in Brazil by 13% for the 2026/2027 summer season, adding 52 weekly flights.
LATAM Airlines will increase its weekly domestic flight frequencies in Brazil by 13% during the 2026/2027 summer season. The carrier will add 52 weekly flights, boosting its total from 384 to 436 weekly services across 26 routes.
The frequency increases will be concentrated on operations from São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Brasilia. The expanded schedule will be in effect from December 7, 2026, through February 7, 2027.
Frequency Increases from Key Hubs
From São Paulo's Guarulhos Airport (GRU), LATAM will add flights to several destinations. Aracaju will see weekly frequencies rise from 21 to 29. Vitória da Conquista will increase from 14 to 23 weekly flights. Service to Porto Velho will double from 7 to 14 flights per week.
Other routes from Guarulhos receiving more flights include Campo Grande, Navegantes, Caldas Novas, Salvador, Florianópolis, and Porto Seguro.
At São Paulo's downtown Congonhas Airport (CGH), the connection to Salvador will grow from 50 to 61 weekly frequencies. This hub will also see reinforced service to Fortaleza, Foz do Iguaçu, Ilhéus, João Pessoa, Maceió, Natal, Recife, and Teresina.
From the capital, Brasilia, the route to Natal will increase from 14 to 21 weekly flights.
Expanded Rio de Janeiro Operations
Operations in Rio de Janeiro will see significant growth. From Galeão International Airport (GIG), frequencies will increase to São Luís. Flights to João Pessoa and Manaus will jump from two to seven per week. A new seasonal direct connection between Galeão and Florianópolis will also operate.
The January 2027 schedule includes several other seasonal links. These are Santos Dumont to Salvador (14 weekly), Porto Alegre to Salvador (7 weekly), Porto Seguro to Santos Dumont (6 weekly), and Galeão to Florianópolis (7 weekly).
Additional seasonal services will connect Goiânia to Fortaleza, Goiânia to Maceió, and Galeão to Maceió. Tickets for these flights are already available for sale.
New Aircraft and Destinations
The summer expansion will coincide with the debut of the Embraer E195-E2 jet in LATAM's Brazilian network. The airline is scheduled to receive its first aircraft of this type in the last quarter of 2026, with tickets already sold for its initial phase of operations.
Between November 2026 and March 2027, LATAM plans to gradually incorporate up to 14 of these Brazilian-made aircraft. They will operate on 42 routes across the country.
The arrival of the new, more efficient aircraft will enable LATAM to launch flights to four new domestic destinations in Brazil. The new cities are Cabo Frio and Macaé in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Ji-Paraná in Rondônia, and Rondonópolis in Mato Grosso.
With these four additions, LATAM will serve 67 domestic destinations within Brazil. This will be the largest number in the airline's history for its national network.
