Delta Air Lines has showcased its Premium Economy cabin, Delta Premium Select, at an event in Buenos Aires, highlighting the product's unique features and amenities. With 38 inches of pitch, adjustable leg rests, and dishes inspired by Argentina's northeast and Buenos Aires' Sunday pasta tradition, Delta Premium Select offers a world-class product with an Argentine flavor.

Introduction to Delta Premium Select

Delta Premium Select is Delta's premium economy cabin, which was introduced in 2017 alongside the arrival of the first Airbus A350-900s. The product offers a range of amenities, including priority boarding, onboard service with special touches, amenity kits, and over 1,000 hours of free entertainment through Delta Studio. SkyMiles members also enjoy fast, free Wi-Fi.

The Delta Premium Select cabin features seats with up to 38 inches of pitch, a width of 18.5 inches on most Airbus aircraft, and a recline of up to 7 inches. The seats also feature adjustable leg rests and footrests, a multi-directional headrest, and entertainment screens of up to 13.3 inches. Gastronomy and Local Flavor

Gastronomy plays a leading role in the Delta Premium Select experience, with menus that rotate every three months and seek to pay tribute to Argentina and its flavors. The current options include roasted chicken breast with smoked criolla sauce and mushroom and pumpkin ravioli with spinach and basil sauce. Gate Gourmet, Delta's catering partner, uses fresh ingredients and designs menus that reflect the local culture.

Behind-the-Scenes Look at Food Preparation

At the event in Buenos Aires, guests had the opportunity to taste the menus exactly as they are served onboard and get a behind-the-scenes look at food preparation in the aviation industry. The attention to detail and engineering that goes into every dish served is impressive, from ingredient selection to the global logistics of the tableware. With nearly nine years under its belt, Delta Premium Select combines a technically superior seat, carefully curated amenities, and a gastronomic offering with local identity, making it a unique and compelling product for travelers.
