Copa Airlines Expands São Paulo-Panama City Flights with Enhanced Business Class

Copa Airlines has announced an expansion of its flight schedule between São Paulo-Guarulhos (GRU) and Panama City (PTY), increasing weekly frequencies from 39 to 40 starting in December 2026. By January and February 2027, the airline will add two more flights, bringing the total to 42 weekly departures-a 7.69% increase compared to November 2026.
The additional flights will be operated using the Boeing 737-9 MAX, the only aircraft in Copa’s fleet featuring the Dreams Business Class. According to Monica Afonso, the airline’s Country Manager in Brazil, the expanded schedule will provide more convenient and efficient travel options, reinforcing Copa’s commitment to innovation and agility in serving passengers.
## Enhanced Business Class Experience
Passengers on these routes will enjoy the modern amenities of the Dreams Business Class, which includes 16 *flat-bed* seats with 60 inches of pitch, 21-inch width, and full 180-degree reclining capabilities. Each seat is equipped with a 16-inch monitor, remote control, power outlets, USB ports, and personal storage space. Additionally, the Copa Showpass wireless entertainment system offers a wide selection of movies, TV series, magazines, documentaries, and music accessible via onboard Wi-Fi.
## Panama Stopover Program
The airline’s Panama Stopover program allows travelers to extend their layover in Panama City for up to 15 days without additional airfare costs. This program, combined with seamless connections at the Hub of the Americas, enables passengers to check baggage through to their final destination without passing through immigration or customs.
